On W facing slope of rising ground in upland area with good views in all directions. Nearby castle (TS055-015----) located 160m to the NW. No surface remains of any church (TS055-016001-) which was located in the centre of a rectangular graveyard (int. dims. 48m N-S; 56m E-W) which contains 18th and 19th-century memorials enclosed by a high wall. Church of Ireland church constructed in the 19th century shown on the 1843 ed OS 6-inch map as church on site of church. No remains of this 19th century C of I church which may have been built on the site of the medieval church as stated by O'Donovan in the OS letters (O'Flanagan 1930, vol.1, 155). In 1640 according to the Civil Survey (1654-6) the glebeland consisted of 2 acres of land situated on the east side of the church and fenced about with a ditch (Simington 1934, vol. 2, 399). Slight rise of ground in centre of graveyard may mark site of levelled church.
