The National Monuments Service's description
In grassland on flat pasture in upland region with good views from E through S to W, higher ground to NE. Ringfort consists of a slightly raised circular area (int. diam. 22m NE-SW; 30m NW-SE) enclosed by a low broad much degraded bank (Wth 5m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 1.2m) and well-preserved wide flat-bottomed fosse (base Wth 1-1.5m; top Wth 3.5m; ext. D 1.2m). The sharp profile of the sides of the enclosing fosse and flat bottomed suggests that this fosse may have been re-shaped by the occupants of Curragh House located c. 200m SW of the monument. Bank, fosse and interior preserved intact from SE through S to W to NW only. Cattle gaps in bank at NW (Wth 2m) and SE (Wth 4m). Evidence of hazel coppicing around perimeter of monument possibly dating from the 19th century. Road intersects NE quadrant of interior and enclosing feature on a NW-SE axis. No evidence of the monument on the NE side of the modern road.
