The National Monuments Service's description
In grassland, situated on a S-facing slope of rising ground in upland region with good views from E through S to W, higher ground to N. According to OPW correspondence (July 1938) within an enclosure (TS054-020001-) there was 'a large stone with smaller stones near by which may have been a dolmen'. No visible remains of any megalithic structure associated with this enclosure, probably destroyed when the enclosure was levelled. Field boundary running NW-SE which intersected the enclosure on its NE side has been removed and monument was probably levelled when field boundary was being removed. Field boundary and upstanding enclosure visible on aerial photograph in 1974 (GSI S. 578/7).
