In grassland on a W-facing slope just off summit of hill in upland region with good extensive views from S through W to N higher ground to E. Ringfort consists of a raised circular area (diam. 33m N-S; 32m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (top Wth 1.6m; base Wth 5.3m; int. H 0.4-0.7m; ext. H 0.8-1.6m) and outer fosse (base Wth 1.7m; top Wth 3.6m; ext.D 0.5m) visible from N through E to SE only and possible entrance gap (Wth 2.3m) at NW. Square-shaped house (TS053-069001-) defined by low grass-covered wall-footings in N quadrant of ringfort built up against inner face of bank at N. Possible souterrain (TS053-069002-) in S quadrant. Grass-covered wall-footings of a possible boundary wall (Wth 0.9m; L 7m; H 0.2m) runs off W from inner face of bank at E and may run onto NE angle of house. No evidence of any circular stone feature or possible hut site (TS053-069003-) mentioned by Cahill (1982) as being located immediately W of ringfort.
