The National Monuments Service's description
On flat poorly drained pasture with good views in all directions, tower house (TS053-012001-) 250m to the NE. Much degraded ringfort consisting of a large sub-circular area (int. diam. 43m NE-SW; 45m N-S ) enclosed by an earthen bank (base Wth 2.5m; top Wth 1m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.15m) mainly reduced to a scarp and shallow outer fosse (top Wth 3m; base Wth 1m; ext. D 0.1m) with no entrance feature visible. A sketch plan and profile drawn in the 1950s shows an outer bank along one quadrant, probably from SW-W-NW (OS Field Memorandums). The monument has been gradually eroded over time. Field drain intersects fosse of ringfort at N on an E-W axis. A lot of field drainage channels can be seen criss-crossing the fields to NE of ringfort. The interior and the perimeter from W to NW of the ringfort are heavily overgrown with thorn bushes and trees making detailed examination impossible.
