The National Monuments Service's description

In Derryvella bog, this possible togher (Wth 0.24m; D 0.06m; L c. 50m) was visible on the field surface. It was composed of two planks, both orientated NW-SE, located c. 50m apart. The SE plank (Wth 0.13m; D 0.03m; L 0.8m) consisted of a single fragmented split oak plan which was poorly preserved due to machine damage. The NW plan (Wth 0.24m; D 0.06m; L 1.05m) was poorly preserved where it had been exposed to machinery. The underlying peat was composed of moderately humified sphagnum peat with occasional calluna inclusions.
