The National Monuments Service's description
On flat pasture with good views in all directions, visible on an aerial photograph (CUCAP 19 July 1971, BGO 2; GSI 8.4.1974, S. 584/3 and GB89.AB.06, 16 July 1989). Two ring-barrows (TS047-049001-; TS047-049002-) are located 38m to the S and 54m to the SW respectively. The most northerly of three ring-barrows is located near an old dried up river bed to the N of the monument. This ring-barrow (overall diam. C.17.5m) consists of a low rounded mound (H 0.6m; top diam. 4.4m; base diam. 10.5m; H above surrounding ground level c. 0.2m) enclosed by a fosse (base Wth 1.5m; top Wth 3.5m; ext. D 0.4m) with traces of an outer bank which are too faint to measure.
