The National Monuments Service's description

Just below the top of a low hillock on an ESE-facing slope in undulating countryside with good views in all directions. A ringfort (TS043-025----) is visible 290m to the E. A circular area (int. diam. 51m N-S; 41m E-W) enclosed by a poorly preserved earth and stone bank (base Wth 4m; top Wth 1.7m; int. H 0.2m-0.4m; ext. H 0.5m-0.7m) which is reduced to a scarp from W to N where it is transected by the main road running on a NW-SE axis. There is a gap in the S bank (Wth 1.2m) which may be the entrance or a later cattle gap. Sileage has been dumped on the N bank of the ringfort. There is a low rectangular platform defined by a scarp (H 0.2m) against the inner face of the bank which may be the remains of a house platform (dims. 6m N-S 6m x 16m E-W). There are slight undulations in the centre of the monument which may relate to the possible re-use of the ringfort as a burial ground (TS042-042002-). There are thorn bushes growing along the top of the bank at the E, ESE, and SW. A cattle crush occupies the NW corner of field approx. 20m to the NW of ringfort.
