The National Monuments Service's description

On a W-facing slope of rising ground in a mountainous region overlooking the Aughvaria river valley to the W, with a wedge tomb (TS039-020----) c. 100m to the NE. The well-preserved gallery (L. c. 3.25m; Wth 1.1m to W, 0.86m to E) opens to the W and is aligned E-W; represented by two sidestones to the N and S with possible evidence of outer-wall stones on the N and S sides. Two roofstones (dims. 1.4m x 1.9m x 0.3m; 1.9m x 1.7m x 0.35m) survive over the gallery. A septal stone (dims. 1.4m x 0.22m) at the W end of the gallery divides the chamber from the portico (L 1.3m; int. Wth 1.25m; ext. wth 2m). A field boundary intersects the outer walling at the N and S with possible remains of an earthen mound resting on top of the roofstones. (De Valera & Ó Nualláin, 1982, vol.4, 93-4; Borlase 1897, 53-4)
