The National Monuments Service's description

On a W-facing slope of rising ground in mountainous region overlooking Aughvaria river valley to the W with good views from SSE through W to N and overlooking a nearby wedge tomb (TS039-021----) c. 100m to the SW. A well-preserved gallery (L c. 3.7m; Wth 1.2m at W; 0.86m to E) aligned E-W; represented by two sidestones to the N and S with evidence of several outer-wall stones on the N and S sides. The E end of the gallery is either missing or grass covered. Two roofstones (dims. 1.7m x 0.9m x 0.35m; 1.9m x 1.5m x 0.4m) survive over the gallery. There is a septal stone (dims. 1.4m x 0.22m) at the W end of the chamber (L 2.4m; Wth 0.8m) which is proceeded by a portico (L 0.9m; Wth 1.2m). (De Valera & Ó Nualláin 1982, vol.4, 92-3; Borlase 1897, 53-4).
