The National Monuments Service's description

A peatland survey carried out in 2006 by Archaeological Development Services recorded a platform measuring in ‘width 2m, depth 0.22m, and was dated to 995±9BC (Whitaker 2006, 26 ). Described by Whitaker (2006, 26) as ‘This site was located east of TN-BLG009a and west of TN-BLG015. It was visible in the drain face 0.09m below the field surface. The site was composed of a longitudinally laid oak plank, roundwood and brushwood, with no clear structure. The elements were fairly densely laid and orientated northwest–southeast. The site was moderately preserved, with the exception of the exposed wood in the drain face, which was cracked and dry. The plank measured 0.25m in width and 0.04m in depth. The other elements varied in diameter from 0.02 to 0.09m. The site was located within moderately humified Sphagnum-rich peat with occasional Eriophorum inclusions. A single piece of wood was identified as alder’.
