The National Monuments Service's description

Surveyed by Archaeological Development Services in 2006 and catalogued as TI-LTN004. The trackway was described as ‘this site was visible in the drain face, 0.25m below the field surface. It was composed of a high concentration of brushwoods and roundwoods. The peat surrounding and above the wood indicated that it was located at the base of a small pool. The wood was in a moderate state of preservation, except where exposed in the drain face. The elements were densely laid and predominantly composed of brushwood (90%). All elements were orientated east-west. The roundwoods measured 0.05 to 0.08m and the brushwood 0.01 to 0.03m in diameter. Moderately humified pool moss was located above the site, while the peat within which the site was located was composed of well-humified Sphagnum-rich peat with occasional Calluna and Eriophorum. Trackway dated to 420-390BC (Whitaker 2006, 63)
