The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on the brow of a high glacial ridge in undulating countryside with reclaimed bog on all sides. Identified during topsoil stripping this site consisted of a roughly circular area (diam. 14.88m) defined by a series of post-holes with a doorway (Wth 1.05-1.09m) indicated by four post-holes facing SE. A central post-hole indicated the presence of a central structural supporting post. Charcoal from one of the doorway post-holes was radiocarbon dated to 180 BC-AD 425. (Murray 2000, Killoran 16, 199-200)
