The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a raised plateau overlooking lowlands to the E with bit burials (TN036-050003 and 006) 65m and 95m to the N respectively. The site was revealed during topsoil stripping and consisted of two small pits cut into the subsoil. One circular pit (diam. 0.51m; D 0.35m) with a U-shaped profile contained a token cremation deposit of tiny crushed burnt bone fragments and charcoal which was radiocarbon dated to 1145-900 BC (Stevens 1999, 140). The second pit appeared to be an associated post-hole suggesting that the post was marking a burial plot (Stevens 1998, Killoran 6, 172).
