The National Monuments Service's description
Situated within the medieval borough of Kilfithmone (TN034-107) on a low hillock in an upland area with a nearby tower house (TN034-020) to the NW. Listed in the ecclesiastical taxation of the Diocese of Cashel in 1302 (CDI, vol. 5, 284). A nineteenth-century C of I church and graveyard (TN034-0107002) containing nineteenth and twentieth-century headstones. No evidence of earlier church or headstones. According to the OS Letters the old church was demolished prior to the erection of the present church (O'Flanagan 1930, vol. 2, 191).
