The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the W face of a N-S ridge in an upland area with a nearby enclosure site (TN034-075) to S. A roughly circular area (diam. 38m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 1.5m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.5m) mainly reduced to a scarp with traces of an external fosse and a possible entrance gap (Wth 3m) at W. There is a modern gap in the bank at NNE. A field fence intersects the bank at N and S destroying the bank and fosse at S.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
