The National Monuments Service's description

Situated in a low-lying position in a very wet field which appears to have been reclaimed. Not indicated on the 1st ed. (1843) OS 6-inch map. The site has been levelled but is visible as a circular area (diam. 31m N-S; 29.6m E-W) enclosed by a low broad, curving bank (Wth 8m; H 0.2-0.3m) best preserved at SE, SW and N. The ditch of a NW-SE field boundary clips the NE edge of site.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
