The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a NW-facing slope of rising ground in an upland area. An impressive trivallate ringfort consisting of a raised circular area (diam. 24m E-W) enclosed by three earth and stone banks with intervening fosses. The inner bank (Wth 2.1m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 3m) is well preserved with a wide, flat-bottomed fosse (Wth 4.3m; D 2m). The middle bank (Wth 3.9m; ext. H 1.8m) and fosse (Wth 2.1m) are also well preserved. The external bank (Wth 1.55m; int. H 0.95m; ext. H 0.75m) is the least well preserved being planted with hazel scrub. Causewayed entrance (Wth 1.8m) at S. A modern road intersects the inner bank at N destroying the outer defences of the ringfort from N to E.
