The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on an E-facing slope of rising ground in an upland area with ringforts to the NW (TN026-016) and S (TN026-026,TN026-027). A slightly raised circular area (diam. approx. 23m) covered in dense scrub enclosed by a poorly preserved bank (Wth 2m; int. H 1m; ext. H 1m) reduced to a scarp at E and quarried in places. Dense cover of vegetation makes detailed examination impossible.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
