The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on top of high ground in an upland area with a ringfort (TN020-060) to the E. The OS Letters (O'Flanagan 1930 vol. 3, 114) refer to the stone as the 'Long Stone'. A recumbent sandstone slab (L 1.82m; dims. 0.48m x 0.48m) orientated on a NW-SE axis with the top of the stone sloped in typical standing stone fashion. According to the local farmer the stone was once erect.
