The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on the SE slope of a hill in undulating pastureland. All that survives of the site is a kink in the field boundary which delimits the S sector of the site and may incorporate the original enclosing element. This boundary consists of a clay bank and stone wall (Wth 1.4m; int. H 0.9m; ext. H 1.55m). The site appears to have been circular (diam. c. 30m). The interior is a natural, fairly flat-topped hillock which slopes gently down to the enclosing bank.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
