The National Monuments Service's description
Located in a prominent position at the N end of a N-S esker ridge. A roughly circular mound (diam. 26.5m N-S; 25.3m E-W) which utilises the N end of the esker and on the W side is enclosed by a fosse (Wth 4m) and stony outer bank (Wth 4.3m; int. H 0.74m; ext. H 3.73m) while there is a steep natural drop on the E side where the mound is c. 11m high.
