The National Monuments Service's description
Situated in gently rolling pastureland. Depicted on the 1st ed. (1840) OS 6-inch map as a large, roughly circular enclosure transected at E by a N-S townland boundary and on the latest ed. as a more irregular site with a trackway truncating the W edge. The site is not visible at ground level. A silage pit occupies what would be the W half of the interior.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
