The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a slight rise of ground in undulating countryside. All that remains is the barely discernible outline of a circular enclosure (diam. 40m E-W) which shows up clearly on aerial photographs (CUCAP, ATA 45). There is a quarry in the SW sector. The enclosure may be part of a nineteenth-centure drainage complex which occupies the entire field and is associated with the nearby big house.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
