The National Monuments Service's description
On the N shore of Ross townland, in a wet meadow c. 6m from the earlier shoreline of Lough Gara. A small oval mound or platform (8m N-S; 4m E-W; max. H 0.4m above the meadow), overgrown with short dense grass which makes it stand out from its surroundings. Some fire-cracked stones (diam. c. 0.05-0.1m) are visible on the surface. The edges feather out and are indistinct. (Cross 1953, fig. 1; Fredengren 2002, KILA 045)
