The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on a low drumlin at break of slope on the W side where the ground slopes down to a stream. Indicated as a circular enclosure on the 1942-3 OS 6-inch map. A subrectangular area (25.4m N-S; 22.4m E-W) with rounded corners, defined on the N, E and S sides by a flat-topped stony bank (Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.4m) with traces of stone kerbing. A scarp (H 1.7m), coinciding with the natural break of slope, defines the interior along the W side and at the SW and NW corners. The scarp at the SW corner is topped by a slight stony rim. The bank is sod-covered, poorly preserved and to NW and W largely obscured by brambles, hawthorn bushes and heaps of loose stones. The stone kerbing is most clearly seen at the SE corner and along the E half of the S side but elsewhere is indicated only by an occasional stone. There is a break (Wth 5m) in the bank in the middle of the N side and another (Wth 3.4m) towards the W end of the S side. The scarp appears rather uneven and irregular with occasional stones and boulders protruding randomly from the long grass cover. The interior is level, grassy and featureless.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
