The National Monuments Service's description
In a cashel (SL040-083----). This souterrain (SL040-083001-) is located in the SW quadrant of the cashel. It consists of a length of collapsed passage, evident as a shallow, grassed-over linear depression (L 10.5m; Wth 2-3m; D 0.7-1m), with several exposed and displaced roofing lintels tipping into it. It extends on a NE−SW axis from close to the cashel wall at SW to the centre of the interior. Glimpses of intact drystone walling can be seen in parts on the SE side of the passage, but the NW side is low, slumped and entirely sod-covered. At least seven massive limestone roofing lintels remain more or less in place. A few are close-set or contiguous, but there are large gaps between others. The E end of some lintels are still in situ, resting on intact sections of the drystone wall on the SE side of the passage;the opposite ends are collapsed into the base of the passage.
