The National Monuments Service's description
In rough pasture, on the narrow summit of a ridge and within the N end of a field system (SL040-063001-). A grass-covered oval flat-topped cairn (10.1m x 9.7m; H 1.2m). Remains of an external revetment, with five stones still in situ, are evident at NE. There is a hollow (diam. 1.5m) in the centre of the top. A low stone field boundary extends to E and W from the cairn. A hut site (SL040-065----) lies 17m to N.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
