The National Monuments Service's description
In the Carrowkeel-Kesh Corann passage tomb cemetery. At the northern extremity of a N-S ridge. The cairn, part of the N end of which has slipped over the end of the ridge on which it sits, is of oval plan (18m N-S; 23m E-W; H 2.5m). Some piled stones on the top of the cairn may be a 19th-century OS trigononmetrical station. A small number of kerbstones are intermittently visible around the southern half of the perimeter. A substantially rubble-filled chamber is partly exposed in a hole in the eastern half of the cairn. This consists of two opposed orthostats, 0.7m apart, aligned E-W, which support a roofstone (min. L 2m; Wth 0.8m; T 0.25m). The nature of this chamber is uncertain but it could be the remains of a passage tomb. A short cist (SL040-016002-) was uncovered just inside the W edge of the cairn (Rynne 1969). (Ó Nualláin 1989, 84)
