The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on a terrace on the lower SW-facing slope of Kesh Corann. A slightly raised oval area (50m N-S; c. 45m E-W) defined S-N by a scarp (H 1.5m) with an external fosse (Wth 2.5m) and elsewhere by a slight undulation. Sod-covered traces of an outer stony bank (Wth 1.4m; H 0.4m) are evident NNE-ENE, merging into a field boundary at the ENE end. Further traces of an outer bank may be marked by a vegetation pattern NW-N. The W half of the interior is level but there is a gentle slope from the centre down to E. There is a steep slope immediately to W.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
