The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on a gently sloping terrace on the lower SW-facing slope of Kesh Corann. A roughly circular area (23.6m NW-SE; 20.5m NE-SW) enclosed by a low grass-covered stony bank (Wth c. 2.8m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.3m) NE-SE and by a scarp (H 0.75m) elsewhere. Rather than following a smooth curve, the stone bank along ESE arc is fairly linear. Stones protruding along the line of the scarp SW-N appear to represent a ruined field fence that skirted the rath. There is a break (Wth c. 4m) in the bank at NNE. The SW portion of the interior is raised to compensate for the hillslope, but the interior retains a very gentle slope down to SW. The natural slope immediately to S of the rath has been extensively quarried out.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
