The National Monuments Service's description

On a bog-grown plateau below the higher slopes of the Ox Mountains and 30m SW of a court tomb (SL036-002----). Some eight stones remain of what may be a ruined gallery aligned NE-SW, possibly c. 8m long. It is exposed in a grassy hollow (c. 8m x 7m) surrounded by bog. The stones are of generally slight proportions. At the NE there is a set stone (0.4m x 0.4m; H 0.2m). Some 0.8m to the SW there is a possible sidestone (L 1m; H 0.3m) leaning against which there is another stone, possibly a displaced corbel. Immediately SW of these there is a jamb-like stone (0.55m x 0.55m; H 0.5m). Some 0.6m further to the SW a partly buried stone, possibly a split boulder (1.4m x 0.35m; H 1m), may not be in situ. Just SW of the last a thin firmly set stone (0.8m x 0.15m; H 0.6m) stands at right angles to the alignment of the structure. It could be a jamb. A set stone (0.8m x 0.1m; H 0.7m) lies 0.4m to the SW and 0.8m beyond this there is another (0.7m x 0.2m; H 0.2m).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
