Megalithic tomb - wedge tomb

The National Monuments Service's description

On upland pasture and commanding a view westwards across Lough Arrow to the Bricklieve Mountains. A gallery (L 6m; Wth 1.9m at the front) is represented by three sidestones at its front or WSW end, one on the N side and two on the S side, and by its backstone. Just 0.7m E of the two stones at the S side there is a set stone at right angles to the line of the gallery side which may have functioned as a buttress-stone though it is unusually large for that purpose. About 1m outside the northern sidestone there is an outer-wall stone and 1.3m to the E of it another. Between these and the line of the gallery side there are two more set stones. These seem to represent an intermediate line of walling between the gallery side and the outer-wall. There are a number of prostrate stones at the site. One of these adjoins the N end of the backstone and may be a fallen sidestone. Another at the NW corner of the structure might be a fallen facade-stone. A poorly preserved low mound at the site scarcely extends beyond the confines of the structure. Some uncertainty has been expressed about the classification of this tomb (Ó Nualláin 1989, 64-5, no. 104) but the available indications are that it is a wedge-tomb.
