The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on a flat-topped ridge on the E shore of Lough Arrow. The remains of Ballindoon Castle (SL034-220001-) are at the SE corner. A subcircular area (int. dims. 36m x 39m) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 0.7m; H 2.5m) on the E side which continues down the ridge on the W side to the lakeshore. The remains of a rectangular structure (int. dims. 2m x 4m) are built against the internal wall. There are the remains of a small secluded boat dock on the W side. There is an Armourer's well (SL034-220003-) within the perimeter to S.
