The National Monuments Service's description
In the SE quadrant of a cairn (SL033-108----). An unusually large rectangular cist (1.6m N-S; 0.9m E-W; D 0.35m) with vertical sides lined with limestone slabs. The tops of these slabs are flush with the old ground surface under the cairn and the present base of the cist is level and consists of small stones and earth. The roughly rectangular limestone capstone (L 2m; Wth 1.1m; T 0.15-0.45m) lies across the NE corner of the cist chamber.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
