The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on dry flat ground at the base of Knocknashee Mountain. A raised circular area (32.5m N-S; 31.5m E-W) enclosed by a flat-topped earthen bank (Wth 3.2m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.8m). Foundations of a drystone wall (Wth 0.7m; H 0.2m) are evident on top of the bank, along the inner edge, NE-SE and along the NW arc. An external fosse (Wth 3m; D 0.2m) is evident along the NW arc. There is a souterrain (SL032-01402-) in the S half of the interior. This rath is overlooked by another (SL032-015----) c. 100m to S.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
