Megalithic tomb - court tomb

The National Monuments Service's description

On a platform of rocky pasture on a S-facing slope above the basin of the River Moy. The tomb is in a low mound of irregular outline (17m E-W; 8.5m N-S). A large rock at the E end of the mound seems to be an outcrop. An orthostat at the E end of the structure formed part of the S side of the entrance passage to the remains of a full court (L c. 6.5m) six stones of the N arm of which remain, one at the outer and five at the inner end. Two jambs mark the entrance to a chamber (L 3.8m; Wth 1.7m at its inner end) represented by three sidestones to the N and one to the S. There is a buttress-stone outside the inner of the three stones at the N and another outside the southern example. A pair of segmenting jambs at the inner end of the extant chamber shows that further gallery structure has been lost. (Ó Nualláin 1989, 59-60, no. 95)
