The National Monuments Service's description

In Kilcummin graveyard (SL031-005002-) and also within a possible ecclesiastical enclosure (SL031-005003-). According to local information, 'considerable fragments' of the 'old abbey' (SL031-005001-) remained up to the 1880s but these were reused as grave-markers (O'Rorke 1890, 130-1). There are still many roughly cut, rectangular stone grave-markers in the graveyard but none appear to be moulded or inscribed, or have lime mortar attached. The base of a window and two jambstones are still evident in the graveyard (pers. comm. M. A. Timoney).
