The National Monuments Service's description
On the E-facing slope of a ridge. A raised D-shaped area (dims. c. 20m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 0.7m) W-E and on the straight S side (L c. 25m E-W) by a field boundary. Indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a pentagonal enclosure with linear sides, the longest being the southern. No visible remains of the enclosure on the S side of the field boundary.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
