The National Monuments Service's description
In flat pasture, c. 250m E of the Owenmore River. A circular mound (22.5m E-W; H 4.4m) slightly levelled out towards the top with a short step up to a flat-topped crest; a considerable amount of material has been quarried from the SW quadrant (pers. comm. J. Farrelly and M. Keane). Most of this monument was removed in the course of land reclamation undertaken in early 2008.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
