The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, at the base of an E-facing slope. The rath is indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as an embanked circular area (diam. c. 25m) and on the 1914 OS 6-inch map as a circular area, open to N. The E half of the rath is now truncated by a N-S road. There is an arc of an earthen bank (Wth 2.3m; int. H 0.9m; ext. H 1.1m) SW-WNW, c. 6.3m W of the road, and another short section of bank at NW, obscured by overgrowth. Immediately to S of the latter section of bank is a field boundary which extends westwards from the road. Another rath (SL025-031----) is c. 60m to SSW.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
