The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on a gentle N-facing slope at the foot of the Ox Mountains. Visible in an aerial photograph (GSIAP, G 327-8) as a small D-shaped enclosure on the S side of an E-W field boundary. It is not visible at ground level. The surrounding field boundaries have been removed. An enclosure (SL020-160001-) and a possible enclosure (SL020-160002-) lie c. 170m and c. 130m to NNE respectively.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
