The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the SE-facing slope of a NW-SE ridge. Raised oval area (dims. 36.6m NW-SE; 29.7m NE-SW) enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone (Wth. 3.6m; int. H 0.7m). A kerb, formed by large stones, is visible at the inner face. At the outer foot of the bank from SW-W-NW is a wide, deep fosse (Wth. 4.4m; D 1.1m). Poorly defined break in bank at S (Wth. 2m) may mark original entrance. In the NE quadrant are ephemeral remains of a stony E-facing scarp (H 0.3m) which extends from N-E-S for c.6m. A lintelled, stone-lined opening in the bank at W gives access to a souterrain (SL019-082002-).
