The National Monuments Service's description
Situated in lowlying, wet ground. Spring well at an indentation at the W of a substantial kidney-shaped cairn/penitantial station (SL016-005002-). The well is enclosed within a drystone border and covered with a low arch also of drystone construction. It is partially covered by cairn material.
