The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a moderate S-facing slope, in gently undulating pasture. Natural ground falls away sharply from the site ESE-W. Roughly circular area (dims. 28m N-S; 27m E-W) enclosed by a low broad bank of earth and stone (Wth 4.6m; int. H 0.6m). There is no fosse visible at ground level. The bank encloses the site W-E. From E-W the site is defined by a near vertical scarp (ext. H 1.5-3m) formed by cutting back a natural slope. The unmodified natural slope links to the edge of the rath at E and at W. The original entrance is not recognisable. The drystone footings of a stone structure are located to SE of centre in the interior consisting of an E-W orientated section of drystone wall (L 4m; T 0.6m; H 0.2m) linking at its E end at a right angle to a N-S orientated section of drystone wall (L 2m; T 0.6m; H 0.2m). The remains of a possible souterrain (SL015-035002-) are located to WNW of centre in the interior.
