The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a gentle NE-facing slope. Not marked on the 1837 edition of the OS 6-inch map. Circular area (diam. c.20m) enclosed from NE-S-W by fragmentary remains of a bank of earth and stone (Wth. 1.5m - 2.5m; int. H 0.4m - 0.6m). Elsewhere the perimeter is terraced into the sloping ground. No fosse. At S the internal ground level is between 0.1m and 0.3m below the external. Conversely at S it is 0.4m above. Wide break in bank at E (Wth. 7m) gives access to a series of disused field banks (see SL 013-026002-). What was originally thought to have been a clearance cairn, c.30m SSE of the enclosure, has since been removed. The clearance exposed a roughly circular (diam. C. 7m) spread of small and medium sized stones in a matrix of grey/brown soil incorporating shell and animal bones and evidence for burning.
