The National Monuments Service's description

In the SW corner of a pasture field, located in lowlying, damp ground in the valley bottom of the Owenykeevan River, 8m E of the river bank. This fulacht fia appears as a low profile, sod-covered kidney-shaped mound (10.4m NNW–SSE; 7m ENE–WSW; H 0.4-0.45m) enclosing a shallow depression (Wth 1.4m NNW–SSE) on the WSW side. Beneath a covering layer of sod and brown soil, the mound is composed of gritty, black soil incorporating angular stones and charcoal fragments.
