The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a slight SE-facing slope in gently undulating elevated rocky pasture. The site is very disturbed and low in profile. Circular mound (diam. base 10m; H 0.2m) of earth and stone. Around the external base of the mound is a berm (Wth 2m) and an external bank (Wth 3.6m; H 0.15m) of earth and stone. The interior of the central mound has been removed and the spoil has been thrown up around the edge to form an irregular bank of earth and stone (Wth 3.5-4.7m; int. H 0.15-0.3m; ext. H 0.2m) E-NNE. From SW-NE the external bank and berm are absent. The external bank has been incorporated into a now relic field boundary bank NE-SW. Relic field boundary banks link to the external bank at NE and at E.
