The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a slight SE-facing slope in gently undulating elevated pasture. Circular area (dims. 30m NE-SW; 29m NW-SE) enclosed by a drystone wall of rubble limestone (Wth 1.4-2m; int. H 0.3-0.8m; ext. H 0.3-0.8m). No fosse visible. From NNW-S the wall has collapsed entirely leaving a bank of rubble stone. Only the footings of the wall survive S-W consisting of the basal internal and external blocks with a fill of rubble between. From W-NNW the inner facing (int. H 0.6m) of the wall survives while the external face has collapsed outward. A modern drystone field wall has been built against the external face of the cashel bank ESE-S. A NW-SE orientated field wall crosses the NE side of the interior intersecting with the cashel bank at NNW and at ESE and a NE-SW orientated field wall links to this wall at a right angle and extends to cross the cashel bank at NE. Original entrance not recognisable. A possible souterrain (SL005-037002-) is located to NW of centre in the interior.
