The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a slight SSE-facing slope, overlooking lower ground to S, in gently undulating pasture. Slightly raised circular area (diam. 20m) enclosed by a bank of earth and stone (Wth 3.3m; int. H 0.85m). No fosse visible at ground level. The inner face of the bank has been reconstructed as a drystone wall of limestone rubble (Wth 0.6m; int. H 1.5m; ext. H 0.1m). Modern drystone field walls (orientated NW-SE) link to the external side of the bank at NNW and at SE. A break (Wth 2.2m) in the bank at ENE, now blocked by modern drystone walling, marks the position of the original entrance. A modern break (Wth 1.4m) in the bank and the internal wall at NW allows access to the interior.
